Chapter 4&6

In chapter 4 McCloud talks about time and he makes his point about time saying that people think that comic panels goes from time to time. "Our eyes have been well trained by the photograph and by representational art to see a single image as a single instant in time."(McCloud 96). In this quote McCloud is saying that even thought we see different pictures and it may seem that it jumps into a different time it may not be a different time. He is saying that we are used to making ourselves think that just because its a different picture that it is a different time.
In chapter 6 McCloud says its ok for children to combine words and images as long as if they grow out of it. I fell that if an adult can combine pictures and images and make sense of what they are trying to prove that it doesn't matter what they do to come across a point

  2. I agree that this is too short of a blog but you gave some good details on the chapters.

  3. Just like the previous two comments I feel this is too short of a blog to summarize the objects that chapter 4 & 6 were trying to get across

  4. This is way too short to even summarize one of the chapters. Any reader wouldn't be able to figure out what point McCloud is trying to get across in either chapter.

  5. Okay, I think that after four comments we can all agree that this post is too short. Now let's try adding something new to the conversation.
