Say What?

The book They Say, I Say by Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein is all about informing writers on how to write good academic papers. It offers tips on how to write complete, well developed papers. It helps with developing good writing skills. In the back of the book is an index full of useful templates that greatly help in writing a good paper. The book contains ten chapters. The chapters focus on how to develop a good argument in a paper and to support that argument. Just like the title of the book, They Say, I Say, an argument in academic work should have the writers opinion as well as somone else's. The chapters also focus on how to make academic writing relate to the audience, after all, the audience can't be left in the dust when reading a paper.

This book is very helpful when writing essays. It will definitely come in handy as I write my research essay. The templates will help out a lot.

  1. Crystal, this isn't bad, but you don't really explain what the templates are for or what they do. And what did you think about the book? Did you like the writing? The comics? Etc.
