The Avengers: Age of Ultron (Extra Credit)

Jessica Brink
At the beginning of The Avengers: Age of Ultron comic book, Jessica Drew also known as Spider Woman, is out hunting Aliens. She gets captured, and is taken to a secret place. Meanwhile, in the Avengers Tower they have a visitor, Abigail Brand  the director of Sentient World Observation and Response Department or S.W.O.R.D. She tells the Avengers that Spider Woman, heard about an unknown energy source found on earth, and headed out by herself to go investigate. She was kidnapped, and they want the Avengers to find her. The Avengers head out find Jessica and go to the place where she was taken. They search around and found a trace that would lead them to Spider Woman. Meanwhile, Jessica woke up in a secret cell, tied up. Two men walked in, they asked her questions, and told her who they all were. The men were part of a “conclave of geniuses.” The men said Jessica is their bargaining chip with the Avengers. While they are talking, the Avengers crash in and save Jessica. But, they all get away, even the dreaded Ultron. The Avengers have no clue how they are going to find him, especially because he is smarter than all of the combined.
I enjoyed reading this comic. It was interesting to be able to read the beginning of what sounds like a great story. Some of the characters I did not recognize though. For example, I did not know there was a Spider Woman, and I did not recognize the one of the woman superheroes, but later found out that she was Ms. Marvel. I honestly want to read the rest of the story, because I was left hanging in the middle of the beginning.

  1. Glad you enjoyed it! The Marvel universe is huge; I' definitely don't know all the characters either. You should also check out the new Avengers movie, if you get the chance. It's epic :-)
